Other bits and pieces on 42 days
Some other good posts on the 42 days issue, displaying the complete disgust felt by many of the activists of the Labour Party. Expect this to be updated.
Run down from Liberal Conspiracy, summing up different parts of the blogosphere and Sunny himself calling for an election to get rid of the government.
An excellent article, particularly the criticism of Austin Mitchell and his “save Gordon Brown” moment, from Septic Isle. Screw the government, you’re not there to protect the government, you’re there to vote for the principles which put you there you bastard.
Interesting points about “export-only” socialism on the part of the Compassites from Shiraz Jim.
A good take on McDonnell’s snubbing of Compass after the vote from Socialist Unity. I feel sorry for John McD and the merry band because after fighting so hard, only to lose out because of the DUP…that feeling must be indescribable.
I’ve been commenting myself on Tom Miller’s post attacking John McDonnell for his (ill-judged) boycott of Compass conference.
Whilst I don’t agree with the Big Mac, I would say Comrade Tom should be weighing in with the rest of us on those ‘left’ MPs who voted with the government and discussing what’s next rather than giving others an opportunity to pass that over.
