I’m happy to throw in my tuppence, so nice of you to ask, but not tonight what with knackeredness and all. I’ll focus on a) relationship between blog use and local campaign b) combatting the right wing media through developing bloggery at local level.

As it happends, I was actually in London yesterday and might have come to the forum meeting, though probably not, but I wasn’t aware of it, and I assume not invited thougjh it may have been a general call to attend.

How did it get publicised out of interest? This is not a criticism of anybody or any nascent structure, as there’s no real reason I should have been in the know as a bloggerist very new to the whole scene – just interest as to what drove this first (was it the first?) meeting.

Yes, it’s undeniably good for posties – but on the other hand, what’s the average age and level of technical competence of most people running CLPs these days? CLPs keep getting older, according to my experience and don’t take the internet as seriously as perhaps they should.

Happy to take up the challenge, but I agree with Mil it needs careful consideration. Tonight I’m drafting a letter to all CLP members ahead of branch/CLP AGMs early in the New Year to encourage participation/donations in the spirit of Go 4th. While there will be a 2.0 version, I expect a higher response rate from the ones that go out with a handwritten envelope and stamp. Good for posties.
