I’m part of Labour because within the Labour milieu some good can still be wrought. Sure, we have the encumbrance of a leadership evidently consisting of lemmings and an increasingly middle class membership – but for all that, there are still plenty of solid activists within the Labour Party.

If I left Labour, it would be to join the Socialist Party or one of the other socialist groups – and they have an equal regard for the Tories as bogeymen, just not quite so hypocritically.

How can you in all conscience be a member of this party, and continually vote for it? You’re young enough not to have the Tories as some kind of bogeyman with which any betrayal by Labour becomes acceptable: so what gives?
