You think that just because I'm young I can't appreciate the small differences between Labour and the Tories?

I'm part of Labour because within the Labour milieu some good can still be wrought. Sure, we have the encumbrance of a leadership evidently consisting of lemmings and an increasingly middle class membership - but for all that, there are still plenty of solid activists within the Labour Party.

If I left Labour, it would be to join the Socialist Party or one of the other socialist groups - and they have an equal regard for the Tories as bogeymen, just not quite so hypocritically.

"more dubious centralisation, ever more invasive laws on privacy and the internet, continuing privatisations, a country working longer hours than anywhere in Europe with a lower Quality of Life score and with health and transport networks that need massive investment and planning."

"The problem is, vast chunks of what Labour has done is disastrous - such as the privatisations - and they’re still at it!"

How can you in all conscience be a member of this party, and continually vote for it? You're young enough not to have the Tories as some kind of bogeyman with which any betrayal by Labour becomes acceptable: so what gives?
