As for her being on her last written warning, the warning system is itself grossly flawed and designed to intimidate staff. I have received written warnings simply for being ill (when I worked at Tesco) so I must say I don’t think we can assume much from that.

In actual fact she was onto her last written warning before the incident, suggesting she had previously wasted time and broken rules which was the actual cause of her dismissal; that she was being partial amidst the furore over expenses was the tip of the iceberg.
