Replace it with what? Protectionism? The use of foreign labour isn’t the problem on the international scale — after all, it helps provide opportunities to workers from far more disadvantaged countries than our own. The problem is the power of businesses to manipulate these opportunities, often through horrible policies like SAWS which limit the working rights of foreign labourers.

You seek the overthrow of the capitalist nation state state, but you are happy to comment on what choices should be made within its framework, yes, such as elections, policy, etc.? Shouldn’t the EU be viewed in the same light?

The idea that withdrawal from the EU back into the nation state will strike a blow for socialism is about as logical as thinking that the establishment of anarchy in place of national government would. Both are destructive, and fail to build anything better.
