St Cameron of Assisi

Another day, another promise from David Cameron to mend ‘broken Britain’.

Perhaps, if he does get to stand on the steps of No.10 on the morning of May 7th, he’ll be tempted to repeat the Assisian words of a predecessor:

‘Where there is discord, may we bring harmony.’

He may also want to reflect on what happened subsequently as the Conservatives employed their distinctive methods to bring harmony:

in 1980, and 1981, and 1982, and 1983, and 1984, and 1985, and 1986, and 1987, and 1988, and 1989, and 1990.

    Francis of Assisi is the patron saint of brute beasts, Cameron is the leader of the Tory Party.

    Yep, I see the connection.
