Frank Field: Cereal Killer
In an astonishing scoop, James MacIntryre of the New Statesman has revealed that……wait for it…..Frank Field is not that well liked by grassroots Labour members, and that some even think he should be expelled from the Labour party.
Wow, astonishing investigative journalism. Give that man the Pullitzer Prize.
Meanwhile, in other news, my long running campaign for the expulsion of Frank Field from the Labour party continues.
Begun in December 2009 and given publicity in a well-read (other than by New Statesman journalists) Liberal Conspiracy article, the campaign is currently being stalled by the reluctance of Labour party HQ to deal with my legitimately made formal complaint about Field’s pre-election statements, which both assumed Conservative victory and gave notice of his intention to take a post in the new government, effectively condemning his local party to campaign for an opposition candidate, thereby breaking party rules.
The first formal complaint was made in March, with an updated version sent in May. Despite assurances from HQ officers that a reply would be sent last week, no response has yet been received.
Meanwhile, in other other news, Frank Field MP, the new ‘poverty Tsar‘ for the coalition government, has called for children not to be given any breakfast if their parents start work early. It is thought that not giving children breakfast might end poverty in the UK.
It is currently not clear whether members of the government, many of whom were sent by their wealthy parents to public school to get their breakfast, dinner and tea have seen the irony in the new proposals to crap on the poor.
Ace. Please keep us informed.
