No sympathy for the devil
I’ve just picked up a copy of Tuesday’s City AM, the free business newspaper in London, to find a small story about Colin Grassie,
chief executive of Deutsche Bank UK.
It said that on Monday’s City Week financial services forum, Grassie addressed an audience by saying:
It’s a pleasure to be invited here … Frankly, as a banker, it’s been a pleasure to be invited anywhere in the last couple of years…
Not since the Devil has there been so little sympathy for an individual. I can hear the sound of the world’s smallest violin.

Does dismissing am entire group of people by their profession make you feel good?
but it’s in the spirit of humour – after all, it must’ve been a joke in the first place. Must’ve been.
